Nicaragua Vacation

The Republic of Nicaragua is a state in Central America, has access to both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. On land, Nicaragua borders on Honduras in the north and Costa Rica in the south. Within the territory of Nicaragua, which is distinguished by a great variety of landscapes, it is possible to distinguish four large natural areas. The mountainous region, the Nicaraguan Highlands, occupies most of the country. From the east to it adjoins the second area framing the Caribbean coast a wide strip of lowlands, known as the Mosquito shore. The third area forms a lowland stretching along the southern land border of the country across the isthmus from Fonseca Bay to the southeast to the Caribbean coast, and the fourth is the volcanic zone of western Nicaragua, with numerous active volcanoes.
